கீழ்ப்படிதல் துன்பமானதா?

திருமறைப் பகுதி: தூய யோவான் 15:9-11

திராட்சைக் செடி/கொடி உவமை தொடருகிறது. சீடரை பிதாவோடும் குமாரனோடும் இணைக்கிற பரஸ்பர அன்பு மற்றும் கீழ்ப்படிதல் என்ற வலைப் பின்னலைப் பற்றி தான் இங்கு பார்க்கிறோம். 9ஆம் வசனத்தில் சீடர்களிடம் அன்பு செலுத்த இயேசு யாரை பின்பற்றுகிறார்? சீடர்கள் தம்மைப் பின்பற்றுவதற்கு 10ஆம் வசனத்தில் எதை எடுத்துக்காட்டாக சொல்கிறார்? விடை கிடைத்ததா? பிதாவைக் கண்ட அவர் பிதாவையும், இயேசுவை மட்டும் கண்ட சீடர் இயேசுவையும் முன்மாதிரியாகக் கொள்வதுதானே இயல்பு!! அன்பும் கீழ்ப்படிதலும் பெருக்கெடுக்கும் வாழ்வின் விளைவு என்ன? இயேசு பிதாவுடன் கொண்ட அன்பு-கீழ்ப்படிதல் உறவிலே ஊற்றெடுத்துப் பாய்வது இன்பம்! பேரின்பம்!!

தங்கை/தம்பி! தன்னுடைய பிதா தன்னை நேசித்தது போல இயேசு உன்னிடம் அன்புகூர்ந்தார். கீழ்ப்படிதலின் வழியாக தன்னுடைய அன்பிலே நிலைத்திருக்க உன்னை அவர் அழைக்கிறார். கீழ்ப்படிதல் துன்பமானதா அல்லது மகிழ்வானதா – நீ என்ன நினைக்கிறாய்?

இறைமகன் இயேசுவே, அன்பு மற்றும் கீழ்ப்படிதலுக்கு உம்மையே எனக்கு மாதிரியாக்கினீரே, நன்றி. சிலுவையில் மரிக்கும் வரை நீர் கீழ்படிந்தது வியப்பாக உள்ளது. கீழ்ப்படிவதில் உமக்கு இவ்வளவு துன்பம் இருக்கும்போது நீர் எப்படி மகிழ்வீர்? அப்படிப்பட்ட மகிழ்வை நான் புரிந்துகொள்ள உதவி செய்யும்

இயேசுவின் பதில்…….
என் குழந்தாய், என் பிதாவுடன் நான் கொண்டுள்ள உறவுதான் என் மகிழ்ச்சி. என்னுடைய தனிப்பட்ட இழப்பு, இழிவு, துயரம் போன்றவற்றை கருதாமல் அவருடைய சித்தத்தை நிறைவு செய்வதிலே நான் பேருவகை கொள்கிறேன். பிதாவின் சித்தத்தை முதன்மைப்படுத்த நீ கற்றுக்கொள்ளும் பொழுது உனக்கும் பேரின்பம் கிட்டும். அதுவரை என் மகிழ்ச்சியை நீ காத்துக்கொள்.

Read John 15:9-11

The parable of the vine continues. This passage is all about a network of love and obedience binding together the Father, Jesus and the disciples. In verse 9 what example does Jesus follow in loving? In Verse 10, what model does Jesus present to his disciples to follow? Did you get the answers? Is it not natural that Jesus who knew the Father followed His example and the disciples were to follow Jesus whom they have come to know? What is the result of the life of obedience and love? It is joy; abundant joy originating from Jesus’ love-obedience relationship with the Father!

Sister / brother! Jesus loves you in the same way that the Father loved Jesus. Jesus invites you to abide in his love by obeying. What do you think – is obedience painful or joyful?

Prayer
Jesus, Son of God! Thank you for showing me the path of love and obedience by your own example. I marvel at your obedience up to the point of death on the cross. When obedience is painful, how do you experience joy? Help me to understand and experience that kind of joy

Jesus might say…..
My child, my joy is my fellowship with my Father. I rejoice in fulfilling His will even if it involves loss, shame and suffering on my part. Your joy will be full when you learn to prioritize His will over against your own. Until then keep my joy in you.
