லெந்து காலத்தின் பத்தொன்பதாவது நாள் தியானம்
திருமறைப் பகுதி: தூய யோவான் 15:5-8
உவமை தொடருகிறது – செடியுடன் இணைந்திருக்கும் வரையில் கொடிகள் கனி தரும். இணைப்பு துண்டிக்கப்பட்டால் விளையும் பேராபத்துகள் இரண்டு: உன்னில் கனியும் இருக்காது உனக்கு உயிரும் இருக்காது. எரியுண்டு உலர்ந்து அக்கினியிலே எரிந்து போவாய். இயேசுவோடு இணைந்திருப்பது ஒரு பின்னிப் பிணைந்த இணைப்பு போல் தெரிகிறது. 5ம் வசனத்திலே “ஒருவன் என்னிலும் நான் அவனிலும் நிலைத்திருந்தால்…” 7ம் வசனத்தில், “நீங்கள் என்னிலும் என் வார்த்தை உங்களிலும் நிலைத்திருந்தால்….” இந்த பிணைப்பு நிலைத்திருக்க வேண்டுமானால் இரு பக்கத்தில் இருப்பவர்களும் ஈடுபாட்டுடன் ஒத்துழைக்க வேண்டும். நீங்கள் மிகுந்த கனிகளைக் கொடுக்கும்படி, இந்த இணைப்பு நிலைத்திருக்க நீங்கள் என்ன கேட்டாலும் பெற்றுக் கொள்வீர்கள் என்று ஒரு வாக்குறுதி கொடுக்கிறர். இதன் விளைவாக நாம் மிகுந்த கனிகொடுப்பது இரு பெரும் நன்மை பயக்கும்: (15:8) ஒன்று, பிதாவுக்கு மகிமை! இரண்டு, நமக்கு இயேசுவின் சீடர் என்ற தகுதி!
தங்கை/தம்பி, இயேசுவோடு இணைந்திருக்க விழிப்புடன் செயலாற்ற வேண்டும். இயேசுவை பற்றிப் பிடித்துக்கொள்ள எனக்கு பெலனில்லையே என்று பயமாக இருக்கிறதா? கேட்டுப் பெற்றுக்கொள். “என் வார்த்தை உங்களில் நிலைத்திருந்தால்” (15:7) என்று
இயேசு சொன்னதின் பொருள் என்ன?
ஜெபம்:
எனக்கு பெலனளிக்கும் இயேசுவே, என் வாழ்க்கையை பொருப்பெடுத்து சிறப்பாக்க உம் வசனத்தையும் உம்மையும் வரவேற்கிறேன். உங்களோடு உறவாடுதல் எனக்கு பேருவகை தருகிறது. எனக்கு வாழ்வும் பெலனும் அளிக்கிற உம்மை நான் விடாமல் பற்றிக்கொள்ள துணைபுரியும்.
இயேசுவின் பதில்……. என் குழந்தாய், உன்னோடு இணைந்திருப்பது எனக்கும் மகிழ்ச்சிதான். தன்னார்வத்தோடு நீ என்னில் இணைந்திருப்பது உன் சுயவிருப்பம். இவ்வுறவிற்குத் தேவையான உதவியை என்னிடம் கேட்டுப் பெற்றுக்கொள்
Devotion for the nineteenth day in Lent
Read John 15:5-8
The parable continues- The branches bear fruit as long as they abide in the vine. There is a double jeopardy when this connection is lost. One, you are no more fruitful – “Apart from me,” says Jesus, “you can do nothing.” And two, you are no more! Your are dead! You are discarded and disposed off in fire. Being connected to Jesus seems to be an interlocking double connection. In verse 5 “he who abides in me and I in him” in verse 7, “you abide in me and my words abide in you”. It is a reciprocal knitted relationship which demands active participation of both sides to maintain the connection. Jesus promises a special privilege of asking and acquiring anything you need to fasten this connection and enhance your fruitfulness. This special privilege provides a double benefit (15:8) one, the Father is glorified and two, you prove your worth as a disciple by being fruitful.
Sister / brother! You need to actively participate in maintaining unity with Jesus. Is that scary? Do you need to be stronger to hold on to Jesus, You just ask and get it! What did Jesus mean by saying “If … my words abide in you”? (15:7)
Prayer:
Jesus, my supporter, I welcome you and your teaching to take over my life. I shall cherish your presence in my life. Help me to hold on to you, my source of life and strength.

My child, it is my joy to be connected to you. It is also your free will to remain connected. Ask and you will get all the support you need.
