மேலறைப் பேச்சு 22
லெந்து காலத்தின் இருபத்தி இரண்டாம் நாள் தியானம்
திருமறைப் பகுதி: தூய யோவான் 15:18-21
சீடர்கள் இதுவரை கண்டிராத துன்பங்கள் வரவிருக்கிறது என்று இயேசு அவர்களை எச்சரிக்கிறார். இயேசுவைப் புறக்கணித்த உலகம் சீடரையும் புறக்கணிக்கும். ஆகவே மூன்று தேறுதல் (ஆறுதல்) வாக்குகளை மொழிகிறார்.
(1) “திடன்கொள்ளுங்கள், தலைவனாகிய நானே உங்களுக்கு முன்னே இந்த பாடுகளை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டேன்.”
(2) “உலகோர் அனைவரும் உங்களை எதிர்ப்பவர்களல்ல. என்வார்த்தையை ஏற்ற சிலர் உஙகள் வார்த்தையையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வார்கள்.”
(3) “அவர்கள் என்னை அனுப்பின பிதாவை அறியாததால் தாங்கள் செய்வது இன்னதென்று அறியாதிருக்கிறார்கள்” (லூக்கா.23:34).
அன்பு தங்கை, தம்பி! கிறிஸ்தவராக இருப்பதால் நீ புறக்கணிப்பையும் வெறுப்பையும் சந்தித்துண்டா? கடினமான சூழலை கிறிஸ்தவராக துணிந்து சந்தித்தவருக்கு உனது அங்கீகாரத்தையும் பாராட்டுதலையும் தெரிவித்ததுண்டா? வருகிற வாரத்தில் கிறிஸ்துவுக்காக புறக்கணிப்பையும் வெறுப்பையும் ஏற்கும் எவரேனும் ஒருவரையாவது ஊக்கப்படுத்து.
இயேசுவே, பாடுகளை ஏற்கும் என் தலைவரே, உமது சிலுவைப் பாதைக்காக உம்மைத் துதிக்கிறேன். என் விசுவாச வளர்ச்சிக்கேற்ற சூழலாக அமைந்திருக்கும் திருச்சபைக்காக உம்மைத் தோத்தரிக்கின்றேன். எனக்கு மன்னிக்க கற்றுத்தருவதற்காக உம்மைப்போற்றுகிறேன்.
இயேசுவின் பதில்……. குழந்தாய், நானே வழி. உலகம் காட்டும் வழியிலிருந்து விலகினால்தான் என்னைப் பின்பற்ற முடியும். கேலி செய்வோரையும் துன்பமும் இழைப்போரையும் மன்னித்து, மறந்துவிடு. இந்த நல்வழியில் நடக்கும் ஏனையோரை ஊக்கப்படுத்த மறந்துவிடாதே.
Devotion for the twenty second day in Lent
Read John 15:18-21
Jesus warns the disciples about the impending persecution which they had not known so far. The world rejected Jesus; it would reject the disciples also. This warning is followed by a threefold encouragement.
(1) “I endured the suffering before you. Look at me, your master and take heart!”
(2) ”The entire world will not be against you. There will be some who will keep my word and keep yours also.”
(3) “They know not what they do (Lk.23:34) because they do not know the Father who sent me.”
Dear sister / brother! Have you experienced rejection and hatred for being a Christian? Have you ever offered approval and appreciation to somebody who took a Christian stand at a trying situation? In the coming week express your appreciation and encourage a persecuted Christian friend.
Prayer:
Jesus my suffering Master! Thank you for the way of the cross. Thank you for the church, the ecology of encouragement for Christian living. Thank you for teaching me to forgive.
Jesus might say…..
My child, I am the way! You will have to deviate from the way of the world to follow me. Ignore and forgive them that mock and persecute. Remember to encourage others on the right path.
