லெந்து காலத்தின் இருபத்தி ஒன்றாம் நாள் தியானம்
திருமறைப் பகுதி: தூய யோவான் 15:12-17
இயேசு தம் சீடருக்கு தாம் அவர்களில் அன்புகூர்ந்தது போல அவர்கள் மற்றவர்களிடத்தில் அன்புகூரவேண்டும் என்ற இந்த கட்டளையை முன்னமேயே (13:34 ல்) சொல்லியிருந்தார். ஆனால் இப்பொழுது அதற்கு ’நண்பனுக்காக உயிர் கொடுத்தல்’ என்ற ஒரு உச்சவரம்பை ஏற்படுத்துகிறார். மேலும் உயிர் கொடுத்து நேசிக்கத்தக்க நண்பரின் நிலைக்கு நம்மை உயர்த்துகிறார்(15:15). இந்த நட்பு நமக்கு இரு பெரும் உரிமைகளைத் தருகிறது.
ஒன்று, பிதா – குமாரனுக்கே உரிய பரம உண்மைகளை நாம் அறிந்துகொள்வோம்.. இரண்டு, (15:16) நாம் தெரிந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டு, கனிதரும்படி அமர்த்தப்பட்டு, அதற்குத்தேவை என்று நாம் கேட்பது அனைத்தையும் பெற்று கனிகொடுத்து வாழ நடத்தப்படுவோம்.. சகோதர சினேகமே போதனையின் சாரம்! (15:17)
தங்கை / தம்பி! உன் வாழ்வைத் திரும்பிப்பார்! எப்படியெல்லாம் இயேசு உன்னை நேசித்திருக்கிறார் என்பதை யோசித்துப்பார். தன்னுடன் நட்பில் இணைந்த உன்னிடம் இயேசு எதிர்பார்ப்பது என்ன? நீ அன்பு செலுத்துவது மட்டும்தான், (15:17) இயேசு நேசித்தது போல தடையின்றி, வெளிப்படையாக, மனமுவந்து அன்பு செலுத்து.
இயேசுவே, என் இறை நேசரே, அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து என்னை நட்புக்கு உயர்த்தினீர். தேவ சத்தியங்களைப் புகட்டி, நற்கனி ஈயும் திறனூட்டி என்னைத் தேற்றினீர். சில வேளைகளில் நான் தகுதியற்றவள்/ன், அன்பில்லாதவள்/ன். கனியற்றவள்/ன் என்று சோர்ந்து போகிறேன். என்னை அரவணைத்துக்கொள்ளும். அன்பெனும் கனி தர துணைபுரியும்.
இயேசுவின் பதில்…….
என் குழந்தாய், என்னைப் பற்றிக்கொள். நேசிக்க என்னிடம் கற்றுக்கொள். கனிதரும் வாழ்வுக்கு உன்னை வழி நடத்துவேன். ஒவ்வொரு அடியாக நிதானமாகத்தான் முன்னேர முடியும் என்பதை மறந்துவிடாதே. தடுமாரும் பொழுது என்னைப் பற்றிக்கொள். இருவருமாக இணைந்து வெல்வோம்.

Read John 15:12-17
Jesus has already told the disciples (in 13:34) this commandment to love others as Jesus had loved them. Now he fixes the highest mark this love can reach. It is laying down one’s life for a friend which he says, is the greatest of love. Then he lifted us to the status of a friend (15:15) worthy enough to die for! Friendship also gives you two privileges. One, sharing the divine knowledge of the Father and the Son, and two, (15:16)being chosen and appointed to bear fruits with a guarantee of receiving (upon asking) anything that is required for fruit-bearing. Interpersonal love is the crux of Jesus’ teaching. (15:17)
Sister / brother! Look at your life. How do you think Jesus expressed his love towards you? As a friend of Jesus what is required of you in verse 17? All you have to do is to love – to love others so freely, so openly and so generously as Jesus loved you.
Prayer:
Jesus my divine friend! You lifted me from servitude to friendship; invited me to share the divine knowledge and granted me anything I may require to be fruitful. Sometimes I feel unworthy, unfriendly and barren. Hold me close to you Jesus and help me be fruitful and loving.
Jesus might say…..
My child, lean on me and learn from me to love. I shall lead you to be fruitful; but remember, one step at a time. Just stay close to me. Hold on to me when you stumble. We shall make it.
