“நான் மெய்யான திராட்சை செடி”

லெந்து காலத்தின் பதினெட்டாம் நாள்

திருமறைப் பகுதி: தூய யோவான் 15:1-4.

திராட்சை செடி- கொடிகள் உவமை ஒட்டுவமையாக விளக்கப்படுவதுண்டு. உவமையின் பகுதிகள் ஒவ்வொன்றுக்கும் பொருள் கூறுவர். இயேசு இந்த உவமையின் வழியாக தமக்கும் தம் பிதாவுக்கும் தம் சீடருக்கும் (நமக்கும்) உள்ள பிணைப்பை விளக்குகிறார். இதில் எது யாரைக் குறிக்கும்? அவர்தம் பொறுப்புகள் எவை? பிதா தோட்டக்காரர்; ஆகவே பராமரிக்கிறார். நாம் கொடிகள்; கனி தர வேண்டியவர்கள். அது சரி,

“நான் மெய்யான திராட்சை செடி” என்று சொல்லிக்கொள்ளும்
இயேசுவுக்கு என்ன வேலை? (15:3,4)

அன்பு தங்கை/தம்பி! இயேசுவை அறிவாயா? நீ கனி கொடுப்பதற்கு அவர் என்ன செய்கிறார்? 15:3 ம் வசனத்தை உற்று நோக்கு: இயேசுவின் உபதேசம் உனக்கு என்ன செய்தது? ஆம்; பிதா செய்யும் சுத்திகரிப்பையும் இயேசுவின் உபதேசம் செய்துவிட்டது!! 15:4 ம் வசனம் உனக்குக் கூறுவது என்ன?

ஜெபம்:
இயேசுவே, என் ஜீவ ஊற்றே, என்னை தூய்மைப் படுத்தின உமது வார்த்தைகளுக்காக தோத்திரம். எப்படிப்பட்ட சூழலிலும் நான் உம்மிலே இணைந்து என் வாழ்வை பெற்றுக் கொண்டு அதை புதுப்பித்தும் கொள்வேன். நான் செழித்துக் கனிகொடுக்க உதவும், ஐயா.

இயேசுவின் பதில்…….
என் குழந்தாய், என் போதனையினால் உன்னைத் தூய்மைப் படுத்தினேன். நீ கனி கொடுப்பதற்குத் தேவையான அனைத்தையும் என்னால் கொடுக்க முடியும். என்னோடு இணைந்திரு; கனி கொடுத்து மகிழ்ந்திருப்பாய். 

Devotion for the eighteenth day in Lent

Read John 15:1-4

The parable of the vine and the branches is often explained allegorically. Each of the character is assigned a symbol in the parable. Jesus uses this parable to explain the inter-relatedness of the Father, himself and his disciples (or us). Who is who in this parable? What is each one’s responsibility? The Father as vinedresser cuts off or prunes the branches to help the plant to be healthy and fruitful; we as branches bear fruit. Jesus says, “I am the true vine.” What does he do? (15:3,4)

Dear sister/brother! What do you know about Jesus? What does he do to make you fruitful? What did the words of Jesus (verse 3) do to you? The teaching of Jesus has already done the work of the Father. What does Verse 4 teach you?

Prayer:
Jesus the source of my life, Thank you for your words which have cleansed me. I shall hold on to you under all circumstances and receive life and renew it. Help me to be fruitful.

Jesus might say…..
My child, I cleansed you with my words. I provide everything you need in order to bear fruit. Just be connected to me and rejoice in being fruitful.
