லெந்து காலத்தின் பதினோராம் நாள் தியானம்
திருமறைப் பகுதி தூய யோவான் 14:12-14
நமது கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்வு மற்றும் ஜெபத்தின் உயர்வான நோக்கம் பிதாவை குமாரனில் மகிமைப் படுத்துவதுதான். 12ம் வசனத்தில் இயேசு,
“ நான் பிதாவினிடத்திற்குப் போகிறபடியால் நீ என் நிலைமையிலிருந்து என்னைப்போல வாழ்ந்து பிதாவை மகிமைப்படுத்து”. என்று கூருகிறார். தம்முடைய உடலாகிய திருச்சபைக்கும் அவருடைய அழைப்பு இதுதான். இயேசு செய்ததுபோல அற்புதங்களை செய்வதை மட்டும் இது குறிக்குமா அல்லது அன்புகூறுதல், பணியாற்றுதல் போன்ற இயேசுவின் மற்ற நற்செயல்களையும் இது குறிக்குமா? “என்ன கேட்டாலும் செய்வேன்” என்று சொல்லும் இயேசுவிடம் நாம் என்ன கேட்கப் போகிறோம்?
பிதாவை மகிமைப்படுத்துவதுதான் ஜெபத்தின் நோக்கம் என்றால் (வச 13)
நாம் எப்படி மாற்றி ஜெபிக்க வேண்டும்?
எனக்கு பிரியமான தங்கை / தம்பி! நீ எதற்காக ஜெபிக்கப் போகிறாய்?: உன்னுடைய தேவைகளை பூர்த்திசெய்யவா அல்லது கடவுளை மகிமைப்படுத்தவா? ”இயேசுவின் நாமத்தினால்” ஜெபிப்பது என்றால் என்ன? இயேசு விரும்புகிறதை அல்லது அனுமதிக்கிறதை மட்டும் கேட்பதா? நீ ஜெபிப்பதற்கு முன் இயேசுவைப் போல் சிந்திக்கப் பழகு!.
ஜெபம்:
ஜெபிக்கக் கற்றுத்தந்த இயேசுவே, உம்முடைய மன நோக்கை எனக்கருளி,
உம்மைப்போல யோசிக்கவும், நேசிக்கவும் உம்மைப்போல ஜெபிக்கவும் என்னைப் பழக்குவியும்.
இயேசுவின் பதில்…….
என் குழந்தாய், ஜெபத்திலே நீ என்னுடனோ அல்லது என் வழியாக பிதாவினிடமோ பேசுகிறாய். நீ ஜெபிக்கையில் நான் உன்னுடனே இருக்கிறேன். உன்னையும் உன் கரிசனைகளையும் உன்னைவிட அதிகமாக நான் அறிவேன். என்னுடைய கரிசனைகள் அனைத்திற்காகவும் ஜெபிக்க மறந்துவிடாதே.
Devotion for eleventh day in Lent (Monday)
Read John 14:12-14
The ultimate purpose of Christian life and prayer is the glorification of the Father in the Son. Jesus’ invitation to the believers in verse 12 is to step into his shoes and live “his life” and glorify the Father as he is going to the Father. This is an invitation also to the church as a whole. Is this just about performing miracles or doing other acts of Jesus such as loving and serving? Jesus promises to grant “Whatever you ask”. What are we going to ask? If the purpose of our prayer is to glorify the Father in the Son, (verse 13) how shall we change our prayer?
Dear sister, brother! Will you pray for your gratification or His glorification? What does it mean to ask “in Jesus’ name”? Is it asking what Jesus would approve or allow? Learn to think like Jesus before you pray!
Prayer:
Jesus who taught us to pray, please give me your perspective to think like you, love like you and pray like you.
Jesus might say…..
My child, in prayer you speak with me or with the Father through me. I am with you when you pray. I know you and your concerns much better than you do! Do not forget to pray for all the things I care about.
